Air Quality - Department of Environmental Quality

The high mountain valleys of Utah tend to trap pollution. Although the Cache Valley has a relatively small population, the temperature inversions will trap in pollution often over several months and create an extreme problem.

The Department of Air Quality monitors and develops plans to handle the environmental challenges facing the state.
